Happy New Year to our amazing Lancaster community from the team at Christian David Gallery. The challenges of the past year have forced many changes, but two things remain constant. First, your continued support of our work. Second, our mutual belief that art is able to do what politics cannot. Throughout history art has brought healing to the hurting, unity to the divided and hope to the discouraged. It is this belief that has energized our team’s commitment to continue giving back to our community in the coming year.

We want to begin this year by introducing our team and offering a word or two about how each of them are supporting art in your community.

Christiane continues wielding the miraculous and powerful tools of her paint brush and palette knife, and a walk through the gallery (unfortunately, by appointment only) will enable you to travel around the world, see sunsets on distant shores, visit cityscapes, even travel through time and witness history first hand.

Originals and prints of her colorful paintings have continued to flow from the gallery into your homes because of the business savvy and organizational skills of her husband Guy.

Thousands of prints are available because of the technical skills of her son-in-law Salvatore who understands the complexities of Giclee’ printing.

After every painting is photographed, registered and archived, Christiane’s daughter Candice does the difficult task of color correction, a process which keeps the color of prints true to the original work so their healing qualities prevail as they bright your homes.

Along Prince Street, the Christiane David Gallery showcases the beautiful floral designs and décor of Tim Arpin of The Gilded Lily. Tim creates stunning displays each season using fresh flowers, greenery and decorations to make unique vignettes that are noticed by everyone passing by. Often, Tim and Christiane collaborate on their designs in order to feature themes at the Gallery.

Two guest artists have shared our space for years. Lance displays his magnificent wood pieces, and Sheri has brightened our gallery with her miniature clay sculptures.

We want you to know also that when you have your purchase framed by our gallery framer Dave Wilson of D. Arthur Wilson Framing, you will be supporting the missions of three local charitable organizations. Our frame materials are sourced from these groups, and proceeds from every frame purchase will go to Habitat for Humanity, Homefields Care Farm or Lancaster Conservancy.

Thank you for your continued support for us and for the art community in Lancaster. You have always been part of our story, which has been the story of the amazing power of art to lift us above the fray and empower us all to make this world a more beautiful place.

Thank you,

The team at Christiane David Gallery.
